Resovia
In a match of the 19th round of the 2020/21 PlusLiga regular season, which was played in advance, Resovia prevailed over Stal by a 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18) and noted the fourth win in a row.
Resovia have finally had the chance to inaugurate the new season at home. The previous three attempts to host PlusLiga matches were prevented by the coronavirus cases within their rivals. Actually, today they were to play against Cuprum Lubin but because COVID-19 was detected in the rival team, this encounter was added to the long list of those canceled in the league. Slovenian Klemen Čebulj was Resovia’s most prolific player today with 22 points. Karol Butryn served 4 aces.
The champion Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle is another in the series of the PlusLiga clubs that have members infected with the coronavirus – one as they announced. So, ZAKSA’s duel with Ślepsk Malow Suwałki today was postponed.
