The Iranian Volleyball Federation (IRIVF) decided to re-open the country’s men’s championship on November 8 but in the way to organize all matches in one city.
Tehran, the capital city of Iran, has been selected to host the remaining matches of the first half of the 2020/21 Super League for men. There’s no information whether it’s going to be the “bubble” formula, i.e. if all teams will be accommodated in Tehran as well, or not. The matches will be held simultaneously in three venues.
The second half of the season will also be played in one city. The decision on the location will be made subsequently. The Super League was suspended on October 10 due to an increased coronavirus spread among its clubs’ members. At the moment of the suspension, a team that topped the charts was Foolad Sirjan.
