JPN M: Muserskiy cracks Panthers’ invincibility, 5th win in row for Wolfdogs

by WoV

There are no more undefeated teams in the 2020/21 Japanese Men’s Volleyball Championship.

The Suntory Sunbirds became the first team to inflict a defeat to the Panasonic Panthers in the 2020/21 V.League Division1 regular season for men. Led in scoring by Russian Dmitriy Muserskiy (36 points), they prevailed over the vice-champions by a 3-1 (17-25, 25-21, 25-22, 28-26). Both teams are at 6-1 in the charts.

Mostly thanks to the Pole Bartosz Kurek (29 points), the Wolfdogs Nagoya recorded the fifth successive win as they downed winless VC Nagano Tridents in four sets.

The Frenchman Jhon Wendt helped Sakai Blazers break a three-game losing streak. He scored 29 points in the 3-2 victory of his side against the JT Thunders Hiroshima.
