JT Marvelous extended their winning streak in the 2020/21 Japanese Women’s Volleyball Championship to five games.

JT Marvelous prevailed over Kurobe Aqua Fairies on the road by a 3-1 (17-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-17) in Round 9 and recorded the fifth successive win in the 2020/21 V.League Division1 regular season for women. Kotona Hayashi led the champions in scoring with 23 points.

However, not even prolonging such a huge winning streak was enough for Marvelous to finish the weekend as the leaders in the charts. That status was taken away from them by the NEC Red Rockets who swept Hitachi Rivale mostly thanks to Sarina Koga (20 points) and Nichika Yamada (4 blocks).
