Even though the second part of the 2020/21 Japanese Women’s V.League Division1 regular season is well underway, the Toray Arrows haven’t felt the bitterness of a defeat yet. In Round 13, they beat Hitachi Rivale on the road in four sets, partially 24-26, 25-15, 25-22, and 25-14, and kept the perfect record of 13-0. The Slovakian-Azerbaijani international Jana Kulan led Toray today with 28 points. She had support in Kaho Ōno (5 blocks).
The JT Marvelous and the NEC Red Rockets are the only two teams that are keeping up with Toray. They both recorded wins in this round.
The Hisamitsu Springs for which Arisa Inoue scored 21 points, American Foluke Akinradewo set 5 blocks, and Yuki Ishii had 79.5 % reception, ended their own losing streak of three games and gave hope to their fans that they will be able to catch the last train for the playoffs.
