In the third match of the playoff finals of the 2020/21 Chinese Women’s Super League, held in Jiangmen, Tianjin achieved a 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-21, 25-21) win over Jiangsu and defended the championship title (2-1 in series). They won the 13th league trophy in their history and second in a row.
Jiangsu proved to be the toughest opponents to Tianjin this season. In the first stage, Jiangsu defeated Tianjin by a 3-2, which was the only defeat of the titleholders in the regular season, and then in Game 1 of the final series. They couldn’t do more than that.
Li Yingying and Zhu Ting stood out for Tianjin today with 30 and 28 points, respectively. Zhang Changning scored 30 points on the losing side.
