The top-seed Maccabi Tel Aviv won an impressive ‘double crown’ this season by beating no.3 Hapoel Mate-Asher Akko in the 3rd game of the 2020/21 Israeli Men’s Premier League playoff finals: 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 27-25). Thus, the club from the Mediterranean coast completed a sweep in the series and took the crown from the rivals, who wore it in the last three years. American Kyle Ensing stood out for Maccabi in the last game of the season, scoring 16 points.

As for women, the regular-season winners Hapoel Kfar Saba climbed to the top of the competition. They clinched the playoff finals against 2nd-seed Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Ata by a 3-1 in the series. Led by Senegalese Mame Diouf (13 points) and Brazilian Nikolle Correa ‘Niki Del Rio’ (4 blocks), the team from the central part of the country prevailed in Game 4 by a 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-22) and defended the title.
