CAVB M: Favourite teams started victorious on Day 1

Hosts Ahly Tripoli and favourites Sfax (Tunisia), Prisons (Kenya), Bourj Bou Aririj (Algeria) set all the first victory on the opening day of the 2013 Men's African club championship which gets underway in Tripoli, Libya on Friday. Find all relevant news from volleyball world on worldofvolley.com.

The competition was opened in presence of CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani, The Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zidan and the Minister of Sport Abdelsalam Ghwela

In pool A Ahly Tripoli defeated Nahda (Sudan) 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-18).

In Pool B Sfax (Tunisia) took over Muzinga (Burundi) 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-9) and Borj Bou Aririj (Algeria) downed Daim Hamad (Sudan) 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-14).

Pool C showed Delta Spikers (Nigeria) beating Muger Cement (Ethiopia) 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-21).

In Pool D Prisons (Kenya) hammered Nemostars (Uganda) 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 30-32, 25-20).
