POR M: Portugal to take World League training to Bulgaria

In preparation for their 2013 World League participation, the Portugal men’s national team will take part in a training camp in Bulgaria from May 22 to 29. The following 16 players are currently participating in the training sessions: Marcel Gil, Ubirajara Pereira, João Coelho, Marco Ferreira, Alexandre Ferreira, Ivo Casas, Tiago Violas, Nuno Pinheiro, Carlos Fidalgo, Valdir Sequeira, Idner Martins, Rui Santos, José Gomes, Miguel Rodrigues, André Lopes and Ricardo Silva.

Portugal, participating in Pool C, will begin its participation in the 24th edition of the World League with three away duels in Finland (May 31-June 1), Canada (June 7-8) and the Netherlands (June 22-23) before hosting Japan (June 29-30) and South Korea (July 6-7) at the Multiusos of Guimarães, which also staged World League matches in 2002, 2005 and 2012.

The Final Round of the World League will be held in Mar del Plata, Argentina from July 17-21 and will comprise six teams: the host country, the top two ranked teams from Pool A and Pool B and also the top ranked team of Pool C.
