Police found bodies of Visser and Severein

It seems that police found the bodies of Ingrid Visser and her partner Lodewijk Severein. The former Dutch international has disappeared along with fellow last May 13 in Murcia, Spain. Even Severein, 57, had played volleyball in youth.

TWO ARRESTS – Police have not confirmed the identity of the two bodies found 12 kilometers from the city, between the villages of Zeneta and Alquerias, but explains that there are two bodies found, with the help of police dogs, half-buried in a lemon.

Visser and Severein were in Spain, where the athlete had played a couple of seasons, for an appointment at a fertility clinic. The appointment was scheduled for May 14 but the couple has never arrived. Their car was found on May 22 not far from the hotel.

According to El Pais, two people linked to organized crime were arrested in the Valencia area precisely in relation to the incident.

THE DISAPPEARANCE – The couple had arrived in Murcia on May 13, checked into the hotel Churra-Vistalegre, unpacked and moved away with the car rented at the nearby airport of Alicante. They never made it back to the hotel. The car was found on May 22 in the center of Murcia.
