WCHY W: USA booked first ever final ticket with thrilling tiebreaker against Brazil

USA booked a spot in the FIVB Girls' U18 World championship final for the first time after beating Brazil in an Epic five set semifinal 3-2 (16-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-17, 15-12) at Chatchi Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima.

This is the best result for the winners, No 5 in the Youth and Junior world ranking in their tally of 8 participations till now. Their best performance was the 4th position in 2003 and 2005.

Brazil lost the chance of their 8th final and now they are playing for the bronze medal match.

With her 5 successful blocks Audriana Fitzmorris played a crucial role in USA win beside a tally 13 points scored throughout the matches making her as second scorer after USA’s big gum Mikaela Foecke who scored 16 points.

Brazil’s opposite spiker Lorenne Geraldo was her team machine of points as she contributed 22 points for her team.
