Serbia had to fight hard to overcome USA 3-1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-18, 25-23) in the Final Round of the FIVB World Grand Prix at Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center on Thursday. Serbia coach Zoran Trzic was happy with the way his team came back after Wednesday's loss to China.

Serbian coach Zoran Terzic: Of course, I must be very satisfied to win against a strong team like USA. I’m also very happy that we played very well today after yesterday’s game when we didn’t play so well. It was a little hard to prepare the team to play another strong opponent but we really made a good job today.

USA`s coach Karch Kiraly: I’d like to congratulate Serbia on coming back with a strong game after losing yesterday. That was our challenge too but we were not able to rise to the same level. Now we have a bigger challenge and we have to come back strong tomorrow.

USA`s captain Kristin Hildebrand: I’m disappointed to lose the game and now we have to try and win our remaining games. Serbia played great while we weren’t so great but we’re going to work hard to come back tomorrow

Serbian captain Maja Ognjenovic: I think today’s match was very good for both teams. To be honest, I think we have to be proud of ourselves especially after yesterday’s bad match; it wasn’t so easy to get into a good mood. We played very well, especially our serve and we knew if we served well it would make things easier. I think that’s the biggest reason why we won today.

Serbian No. 9 Brankica Mihajlovic: I’m happy with the win today, especially after yesterday when we had a bad game. This win is very important for us so we can play better tomorrow. We tried to concentrate on USA’s weak points and I think we did that. Also, I think it was a great game for the crowd and I think that’s very important. Today, we showed we can fight against the best teams so I hope we can continue in this way
