Infront President and CEO Philippe Blatter took advantage of the opportunity and met CEV Vice President and Jury President of the 2013 CEV Volleyball European Championship – Women, Jan Hronek as well as Silvia Sordelli, Jury Member and TV coordinator, ERC President Jan Rek and VONOC Executive Vice President Stav Jacobi.
CEV partner Infront is an international sports marketing company distributing the worldwide media rights for the bi-annual Men’s and Women’s CEV Volleyball European Championships. From 2014 onwards, Infront will also distribute the international media rights for the CEV Beach Volleyball European Championships as well as the CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup Finals in 2016 and 2020 – the decisive qualifying competitions for the Olympic Games in the respective years. For the first time in history, 130 countries with all five continents involved cover the Women’s EuroVolley 2013.
Although Philippe Blatter, nephew of FIFA President Sepp Blatter, might have a traditional affectation for soccer, Blatter admitted his love for volleyball and the beauty of our sport. Blatter said:
“The CEV-Infront partnership is among the most long-standing in the industry and Volleyball a core pillar of our summer sports portfolio. We are proud and delighted that we earned the trust and respect of the CEV to strengthen this successful partnership. Together, we will continue to deliver top quality and excellence for the good of European Volleyball, its commercial partners and fans.”
In an informal meeting, Blatter and Hronek exchanged ideas about the future collaboration between CEV and Infront. Jan Hronek expressed his deep satisfaction with the results of TV sales and the quality of the TV production for the 2013 CEV Volleyball European Championship – Women.
