During the first match of the group stage of the European Championship between Russia and Belarus, the setter of Yuriy Marichev’s team, Anna Matienko left the court because of finger injury.

After the medical examination, doctors told that she has fractured little finger of her left hand. She will be out for six weeks. For Anna, European Championship is over.

“For me, the tournament is over. The finger went away to the side and came back. Fracture. But, I am with my teammates with all my heart. Thank you all for four months working together!” said Matienko.
