In a move that signals serious ambitions for the future, Belogorie Belgorod appointed Gheorghe Crețu, one of Europe’s most respected coaches, as its new head coach.

Crețu’s résumé traces a remarkable journey through European volleyball—championships in Austria, triumphs in Poland with ZAKSA (highlighted by a Champions League title), and historic milestones with national teams like Estonia and Slovenia. Now, he’s steering Serbia toward the LA28 Olympics.
This isn’t his first encounter with Belogorie. In 2017, Crețu served as senior coach under Gennady Shipulin.
