Modena Volley has officially confirmed the signing of Australian libero Luke Perry for the 2025/26 season, marking a significant addition to their back line as they prepare for a highly competitive year in Italy’s top league.

Perry, 29, arrives with a wealth of international experience and a reputation as one of the top defensive specialists in the volleyball. A mainstay of the Australian national team, his professional career spans over a decade, with standout performances in Finland, Germany, France, and Poland. He most recently featured for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, playing a important role in the club’s journey to the 2024/25 Champions League Final Four.
With previous stints at top clubs including Berlin Recycling Volleys, Tours Volley, and Asseco Resovia, Perry has collected domestic titles in both Germany and Poland—underscoring his consistency at the highest levels.
In a statement, Modena Volley’s Sporting Director Alberto Casadei highlighted Perry’s decision to join the club despite competing offers: “Luke strongly believed in our vision and wanted to be part of the Modena project. Having him in our jersey, in front of our fans, will be special.” This move marks Perry’s first foray into Italian volleyball.
