The Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders caused an upset in 2021/22 South Korean Women’s Volleyball Championship beating IBK Industrial Bank Altos.
The Pink Spiders, considered underdogs in the 2021/22 Women’s Dodram V-League, caused a stir by beating the Altos 3-1 (22-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-18) on the road. The Incheon-based side was powered today by Katherine Bell. The U.S. opposite hitter bombed rivals with 40 points. Kim Hae-Ran made 78 % reception (39 digs).
The Pink Spiders are at 1-1 while, given their current record of 0-2, the role of the favorites will definitely be tied to Altos much less in the coming matches.
