Al Ahly, the Egyptian giants and the defending African Clubs Champions, were crowned with another title after going undefeated on their home soil. They secured their eighth title by defeating Al Nasr of Bahrain 3-0 (25-21, 25-9, 25-19) in the final match held in Cairo, Egypt.
Al Ahly reached the final by defeating Al Seeb of Oman in straight sets, while Al Nasr overcame Al Wakrah of Qatar 3-1 in the other semifinal. In the end, Al Seeb claimed the bronze medal after beating Al Wakrah 3-2 in the highly-regarded annual event.
