In a packed Športna dvorana Kamnik OTP Banka Branik claimed the Slovenian championship with a clean 3:0 win (25:23, 25:23, 25:15) over Calcit Volley.
Led by the unstoppable Iza Mlakar with 20 points and strong support from Sonja Danilović (16 points), Branik outplayed the hosts in nearly every department—especially on serve and reception.
Despite a few strong rallies and blocks, Calcit never found rhythm in attack, with only 16% success in the first set. Branik kept the pressure up, breaking away in key moments of each set and closing the final one in dominant fashion.
Coaches React
Bruno Najdič (Calcit):
“We came in too soft. If we had played the first set aggressively for even 10 minutes, we could’ve taken this match.”
Žiga Kos (Branik):
“Our reception gave us more attack options, and our serve really pushed them back. That was the difference.”
