The women of Asterix AVO Beveren have done it again! In front of their home crowd in Beveren, they claimed their 17th national title by beating Roeselare 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-11) in the deciding match of the Lotto Volley League final series.
It wasn’t an easy road. Asterix lost the first game 3-0 and even fell behind in the final match. But led by captain Manon Stragier, the team flipped the switch mid-second set, showing grit and power at the net.
This marks Asterix AVO’s fourth trophy this season, adding to their Supercup, BeNe Cup, and Belgian Cup victories.
