Both teams have already qualified for the Final Four of Group 2.

Netherlands captain Robin de Kruijf: “We expected a very tough match against Belgium, just as last week. Fortunately we were able to win 3-0 today. We started with a lot of pressure in the first set. That worked to our advantage.”

Netherlands coach Gido Vermeulen: “This was the answer I wanted to see from the team after yesterday’s loss. Today we played very concentrated and clean. I’ve put some new players on the court and they performed well. I have a lot of possibilities in my roster and that’s the key in this long and exhausting competition.”

Belgium captain Charlotte Leys: “The Dutch tactically prepared themselves perfectly today. We shouldn’t have lost the second set. I think that was the turning point in this match.”

Belgium coach Gert Vande Broek: “The Netherlands came to the right conclusion after the match we played last week in Leuven. They were prepared to stop our attacks. Both teams could have won the second set. In the third set we played one bad rotation when (Judith) Pietersen was serving for The Netherlands.”
