This afternoon the Czech guys had their training session there in Jablonec followed by their next opponents, with the trainings being all open to the public. The European League matches will be accompanied by a series of side events with the most important being the regional round of the “Colors Mini Volleyball” program promoted by the Czech Volleyball Federation that will attract some 540 children to Jablonec. The matches will take place in an outdoor area located right next to the “Na Strelnici” sports hall but the organizers are ready to host these kids in an indoor facility in case of rain. “The children will be able to attend the match scheduled this Saturday and where the Czech Republic will be playing Turkey, they just need to come to the sports hall by wearing the jersey of their mini Volleyball tournament to get free entrance there” says Lubos Bednar, a member of the local Organizing Committee
CEV M: European League stops in Jablonec
The city of Jablonec nad Nisou – whose Volleyball tradition is long-lasting and well-known in the Czech Republic – will be hosting this weekend the third round of action in Pool B of the 2012 CEV Volleyball European League – Men. This is actually not the first time that the European League stops there as in 2007 the Czech national team had played a couple of matches in Jablonec against Slovenia and Turkey. This time Turkey, Romania and Austria will be testing out the likes of the home guys.
