Sunbirds won after tie-break drama, with partial 26-24, 25-23, 21-25, 19-25, 15-8 mostly with the help of its best scorer, the Brazilian Evandro Guerra who collected 40 points! In Panthers, Tatsuya Fukuzawa had 21.
The second-placed Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza had hard time against the outsider, Osaka Sakai Blazers and needed four sets to defeat a candidate for promotion into next phase of the league. The winning team was led by The Croatian Igor Omrčen with 38 points while on the other side, Bosnian Milan Pepić scored 20.
The leader JT Thunders Hiroshima had an easy job against JTEKT Stings. The Brazilian star Leandro Vissotto had 20 for Thunders and Cuban Fernando Hernández scored 24 for the losing team.
F.C. Tokyo Volleyball Team upset home team of Toray Arrows and demolished it in straight sets.
