Slovakia’s male player of the year is setter Michal Masny – “I am very happy with this award and want to thank all those who voted for me. The last season was very successful for me both with my club and the national team and I hope to continue the same way this year too,”
The podium of the men’s ‘contest’ was rounded off by middle blocker Emanuel Kohut and opposite Milan Bencz.
Slovakia’s female player of the year is 24-year old middle blocker Jaroslava Pencova, who currently plays for Germany’s champions DRESDNER SC and claimed that honour for the second consecutive season.
The second and third places in this ‘contest’ went to Miroslava Kuciakova and libero Dominika Valachova.
Slovakia’s men’s national team got the award for the team of the year whilst the mentors of the men’s and women’s national squads, Flavio Gulinelli and Marek Rojko, claimed the prize for the men’s and women’s coach of the year.
