Konstantin Ushakov, Dinamo Krasnodar coach: “We knew it would be a very important game – and were ready to play our best volleyball. Now we are going to prepare for Rexona tonight. We haven’t done any video analyses yet, but we’re poised for this big clash – and we are going to win.”
Fe Garay, Dinamo Krasnodar : “After yesterday’s loss we were keen to do it better today. We knew that we had to be focused, since that was the reason why we struggled yesterday. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow’s game versus Rexona AdeS, not only because it’s a Brazilian team, but most of all because I’ll face some of my closest friends in this battle. Nevertheless, there’s no friendship on the court. I want to defend the colours of Dinamo Krasnodar tomorrow. I promise, it’s going to be a huge matchup!”
Kumi Nakada, Hisamitsu Springs : “We are very disappointed because this is a team that is very difficult to beat, but we actually had the chance to beat them and we didn’t do it. We defeated ourselves by making too many mistakes and that’s the hard thing to take. They are a good strong side but we could have won.”
Yuki Ishii, Hisamitsu Springs s: “There are no real positives to take out of this match. We came here to get on the podium, and we didn’t do it. The worst part was the mistakes we made. We didn’t think we could take it easy because we knew we’d go through with a 3-2 result – we wanted to win every set. All the teams here are quality, they are champions, but we just couldn’t put it all together today. Playing well as an individual doesn’t matter, it was about the team.”
