Eczacıbaşı opened the first set with 8-4 scoring run. The Russian side tried to recover and to raise its playing style but they simply couldn’t do it. They had to surrender in the first set and after a huge block of Jordan Larson, European champions took the lead 25:16.
The Turkish team was leading in the second set 11-7, but Dinamo put more pressure on the rival and tie game after trailing by 5 (14:14). Eczacıbaşı has scored three points in a row, but Russian side managed to make comeback again (18-18). The head coach of Dinamo Konstantin Ushakov had to take time out after trailing by two (20-18).
The defense of Turkish team made a mistake which gave 21st point to Dinamo, but after Maja Poljak’s and Bethania de la Cruz’s huge blocks (24-21), Eczacıbaşı got three match points. They used the first and captured the second set for 2-0 lead!
We’ve got very uncertain game in the third set. It was like chess game. Dinamo Krasnodar managed to keep hopes and in one moment they took the lead (17-16).
The Russian side was keeping the lead but at the result 22-21, Eczacibasi scored two consecutive points and took the lead again. After Maja Poljak’s block, they had match point but Dinamo saved it (24-24).
Dinamo got the chance to cling the set (25-24) and Rosir Kalderon did it! The Russian side reduced the rival’s lead in sets 2-1!
It seemed that team from Krasnodar lost all power in the third set. Eczacıbaşı Vitra again played with a full throttle and won the World Club championship!

European champion, world champion but not Turkish league champion. 🙂
I think Turkish league final 4 is more difficult than European Champions league and Club world championship.
They got only third place in their national league.
Of course, winning Turkish championship is more important that winning this two!;) KISHI, what are you talking about? And have you ever seen in any normal volleyball countries that you play last round of championship (except in Turkey) with 6 games in 10 days!!! And week before two more games of the Cup????
KISHI, I can’t agree more with you. Had they not competed against each other, all top three Turkish teams should have been in the final four of the CEV Champions League. Eczacibasi is the weakest among the three.
