On Wednesday, shortly before their departure to Estonia, the mentor and captain of the team, Žarko Ristoski and Nikola Gjorgiev addressed the media stating that they feel well ready for the country’s second campaign in the CEV Volleyball European League.
“We all wish to continue the success from last year where we made the semis,” Ristoski said. “We are hungry for more victories. Estonia is a very good team and they have made the Final Round of the CEV Volleyball European Championship a few times in the last six years and so we are going to embark on a tough mission,” he continued.
“According to the information I received from Ardo Kreek, with whom I shared the last season at PARIS Volley in France, Estonia are taking their complete team to these matches which means that they do respect us,” team captain Nikola Gjorgiev said. “We also respect our opponent but we are not afraid of anyone and we are only thinking about winning our first match in this competition. In the second there will be no pressure then. It’s important to come back home with some points from these opening matches in our pool.”
