After the end of the tournament team’s captain Saeid Marouf was very self critic…
“I do not want to say anything about our game because everyone could see what was happening on the court. We just want to thank the organizers for inviting us on this tournament and we want to apologize to Polish fans beause they probably did not enjoyed our game. We were in terrible shape…” said Marouf.
Slobodan Kovač, head coach of Iran, also expressed disappointment about the performance of his team.
“It’s hard to say anything after such an embarrassing performance. I would like to apologize to all fans. I do not want to think that we will play like this at the World Cup. We do not know what is the problem. We go out on court with fear, we are afraid to touch the ball and we do not have enough energy. I need to find a solution.” said Kovač.
