BALKAN CUP M: Serbian Spartak Ljig qualify for Challenge Cup

Serbian team, Spartak Ljig, became the winner of Balkan Cup (the competition under jurisdiction of the Balkan Volleyball Association) and qualified for the CEV Challenge Cup.

On the Final Four held in Bijeljina (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Spartak beat Romanian representative, CSM Agronomia Bucureşti in straight sets 25-15, 25-21 i 25-21 in 77 minutes of play.

Thus, Spartak have qualified for the Round 2 of the CEV Challenge Cup (the lowest ranked European Cup) where they will play against Albanian Studenti Tirana (November 11 and November 18).

Spartak’s Milan Perić scored game-high 14 points. Denis Sințov and Gabriel Bontea had 10 points each in Bucureşti.

In the 3rd place match, Turkish Beşiktaş defeated home team OK Radnik Bijeljina 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-21).
