Despite chasing the score all the time (trailing 1-0 and 2-1 in sets), Bayi prevailed over the leaders with 25 points from Liu Yanhan and 15 from Wang Yunlu.
Customarily, foreign duo was the most efficient in Tianjin, who remained at the top of the standings but with only one point ahead of Beijing – Bulgarian Eva Yaneva 22 pts and the Cuban Nancy Carrillo 21.
Beijing even had a chance to level with Tianjin, but they played a tiebreaker against hosts Shanghai and thus, took two points instead of three.
Liu Xiaotong scored 23, while Zeng Chunlei added 20 points for the winners. Zhang Yichan was the best scorer in Shanghai with 21 points. Yang Jie collected 19.
About the other matches of Round 7, Zhejiang and Jiangsu achieved straight-set victory.
