“Is our second match, we have lost the two of them, that is not a motivation, but we feel proud of the good moments and good actions we had. This was a good match against Mexico, a tough team, as we gain experience,” said Angie Montero Alfaro, Costa Rican captain.
“We started with good rythm, but we had some moments in wich we lost our focus. As a team we could go on with good plays and we are ready for a good match against USA,” said Ivonne Martinez, about Mexico’s performance.
“Maybe the result does not reflect it, but I am so glad with the few good things we could make tonight. Mexico is a great team that will fight for the qualification. We are beginning at this level in Norceca with this group,” stated Costa Rica’s coach, Xavier Perales.
For Estanislao Vachino this tuesday night match consisted in “serving to the lines, and some moments with a diagonal serve. It didn’t work as we wanted. Yesterday we played a lot in the middle, today it wasn’t so accurate, but we must keep on trying,” He said. Mexico will match USA this wednesday while Costa Rica will face Guatemala.
