Playing fourth consecutive game on road is slowly beginning to tire Red Rockets’ players and they lost another game, this time to Hitachi Rivale Ibaraki 3-1 (25-16, 25-23, 20-25, 25-20).
Mirei Sasaki with 25 and American Lauren Paolini with 22 points (4 blocks) stood out in Hitachi, who now have 3-1 record. Sarina Koga had 20 points in Red Rockets (2-2).
Toray Arrows achieved home hard-fought win over last placed and winless team Okayama Seagulls 3-1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-18, 25-14). Once again ’Saori duo’, Saori Sakoda (31 pts, 4 bl.) – Saori Kimura (18 pts.), was on a high level. Yuko Asazu topped Seagulls’ scorers with 17 points (4 blocks).
