It was definitely not an easy job for the hosts of the tournament, but they did eventually won all 3 points. Japan outplayed Dominican Republic in straight sets after a great battle and continued marching toward the Rio Olympics.
The MVP of the game was Miyu Nagaoka.
Although head coach Manabe decided to leave one of his best players out of the starting lineup, she quickly entered the court and started dominating the match. Nagaoka finished the game with 21 points.
