German NT had practically a cleared way to reduce USA’s 2-0 lead in sets by having 8-4 at the first TTO and 16-14 at the second TTO in Set 3. But point by point and USA approached to 18-18 and even had 21-19. Hard fight was seen in the finish of the set when USA converted only their fourth match ball.
Nicole Fawcett scored 15 points for the US National Team while Louisa Lippmann had 19 in Germany.
Asian clash in Kyoto went to the hosts. Japan took Thailand seriously after they caused upset against Italy at the closure of the second weekend 3-0 (25-10, 25-19, 25-15).
Yukiko Ebata has the most of the credit for persuasive win of Japan with 18 points. Ajcharaporn Kongyot was customarily the most efficient in Thailand. She had 13.
