Back to work, that’s the motto for Europe’s elite clubs at this very moment. While the eyes of the Volleyball world were on the Maracanazinho in Rio de Janeiro over the last two weeks, where Volero’s Zoran Terzić, Silvija Popović, as well as Bojana Živković claimed silver with Serbia and Foluke Akinradewo bronze with USA, the club teams have been gearing up for the season behind the scenes.
In the first training of the preseason, the Swiss top side started with a short team meeting and a practice session. The goal for the upcoming season is clear, Volero are poised to hunt for trophies again.
The first official game of the new season for Volero will coincide with the Indoor Sports Supercup in Fribourg on October 8. Thereafter, Zoran Terzic’s side will fly to the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship in Manila, Philippines on October 12.
