ESP: Legendary Rafa Pascual declares his candidacy for President of Spanish VF

Former captain of Spain Men’s Volleyball National Team, Rafael Pascual, announced he will submit candidacy for the President of the Spanish Volleyball Federation.

A 46-year-old ‘Rafa’ Pascual, who had rich international club career (Italy, Japan, France, Puerto Rico, Greece and Bulgaria – retired in 2011) which was crowned by winning the 2007 CEV European Championship, revealed that he will present his candidacy at the Spanish VF elections on December 18.

Pascual, who was voted the best player in the world in 1998 and wore the national team jersey on 537 occasions, hopes to succeed Agustín Martín Santos (head of the Spanish VF since 2000).
