Alicia Ostrander, NCAA Women’s volleyball winner with Nebraska in 2015, will start her professional career in the Spanish Superliga, in Menorca, a team that currently occupies seventh place in the standings.

A 23-year-old player made 152 kills and averaged 2.49 kills per set to rank fourth on the team in the season when the Huskers took NCAA title.

While attending high school in Nebraska, Ostrander was an outstanding all-around athlete, competing in basketball and track and field, besides volleyball. She is a record-setting high school basketball player, one of the top rebounders in the history of Nebraska high school basketball. Ostrander was also a state qualifier in the high jump and triple jump at that time. As for volleyball in high school, she set the school career kills record.
