Four players from Sri Lanka got double figures. Harambage Ishan Wimarshana was the leading scorer in the victory with 22 points, followed by Rathnayaka Nadeepa Laksjan with 15. Panadura Acharige Don Ayeshi and Ranasinghe Suresh Asitha each added 12 and 11. Atul Kumar Singh led India with 19 points while N.R. Shravan registered 11. Sri Lanka led in the blocking category 10-4 and bested their opponents 5-2 in aces. Sri Lanka also benefited 35 India’s errors in the match to their own 26.
Meanwhile, Australia defeated Kazakhstan 3-0(25-18,25-16- 25-19) to place ninth of the Championship. Kazakhstan was 10th.
