The contract with the Romanian coach was concluded until the end of the 2018/2019 season.
“At the beginning, I would like to say that it is a great honor for me to work in a team like Asseco Resovia. I think many coaches would be very happy with the opportunity to work in such a club. It’s a new challenge for me, a new situation.”
Cretu has replaced Andrzej Kowal at the helm of the team, to try to improve the results of the teams as they officially have the worst start of the season in club’s history.
“I know the situation in the club, I’ve been following the results. In my opinion, the team has everything to achieve much better results. Looking at the standings, there is no splitting into weaker or stronger teams. There are many surprises,” says Cretu and adds – “I arrived in Rzeszow on Monday Morning and I had an opportunity to talk with the staff and to have a short talk with the players. Everyone who knows me knows that I’m not only a coach, but also a father, a brother for the players and that’s why this first conversation was important to me. We have an extremely important clash with Bedzin, we need to win this,” says Cretu.
