PROJEKT Warszawa definitely left huge financial issues, that were breathing down their neck the whole summer, behind and recorded the third win in as many games in the 2019/20 PlusLiga. The team from the Polish capital defeated league’s newcomers Ślepsk Malow Suwałki, who came to Warsaw with memories on a historical, first-ever victory, in the country’s top division that took place a few days ago against powerhouse Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.
With 20 points, Bartosz Kwolek top-scored for PROJEKT who barely fulfilled the necessary conditions to get the license to compete in the PlusLiga, which resulted in abandoning the name ONICO. And only six months ago, they played the play-off finals… The Frenchman Nicolas Szerszeń scored 17 points, while Norwegian Andreas Takvam made 5 kill blocks for the losing side.
