Skra-vs-Resovia
In an advanced match of Round 12, which was the “klasyk“ of the PlusLiga, Skra relatively easy outplayed Resovia: 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-21). These two teams have met 56 times prior to the match today, providing fans unforgettable battles for trophies in the last decade. Skra improved their record to 5-1, while Resovia continued their poor campaign, which consists of only two wins and five defeats. The losing side played the match without two starters, one that has been sidelined for a while (Marcin Możdżonek) and one that missed out his first match in the season (Zbigniew Bartman). Iranian Milad Ebadipour top-scored for Skra with 15 points which were as many points as the Frenchman Nicolas Maréchal put down for Resovia.
One more advanced match has been played tonight but it was valid for Round 13. It was also a big match, in which champions Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle hosted vice-champions Warszawa with both teams entering the match as undefeated (5-0 each). The team from the Polish capital, who from now competes under the new name (VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa, instead of PROJEKT), downed ZAKSA in the tie-break mostly thanks to Bartosz Kwolek (24 points). Aleksander Śliwka made 22 for the losing side.
