The 2019/20 Liga Siatkówki Kobiet regular season has the new leaders – it’s Developres SkyRes Rzeszów! Practically since the beginning of the season, Grupa Azoty Chemik Police established themselves as the leaders of the Polish top division. But, after Round 18, Developres took over the top of the charts from them. A few days ago, the team coached by the Frenchman Stéphane Antiga inflicted the first defeat to Chemik in the competition this season, and now they leapfrogged them in the standings as they downed BKS STAL Bielsko-Biała by a 3-1 (25-20, 25-18, 19-25, 25-22). The Czech Michaela Mlejnková drove Developres to a win with 23 points. Her compatriot Andrea Kossanyiová scored 2 points more but for the losing side.
The titleholders ŁKS Commercecon Łódż recorded 5th victory in a row and remained 3rd placed. They swept Wisła Warszawa on the road, leaving the team from the country’s capital winless even after 17 games.
