The 2019/20 season was the first of Grbić on the bench of the Polish giants.
He is recognized as one of the best players in the world at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. A long-time member of the Serbia National Team, after the end of his professional career, in the 2014/15 season, made his debut in the new role as a head coach. After a season of working in Italy’s Sir Safety Conad Perugia, Grbić moved to another club from this country, Calzedonia Verona. After a few years spent there, which he combined with the position of the Serbia Men head coach, Grbić took over the post in ZAKSA, who found themselves at the top of the charts in the regular season prior to the cancelation of the season due to the new COVID-19 pandemic.
Last season, Grbić commanded ZAKSA to the trophy in the Polish Super Cup.

Why they wouldn’t? They were at 1st place when the season ended. Nikola forgets more about volleyball every day than some coaches ever learned. He was a phenomenal player, one of the best setters of all time, and he is becoming better and better coach every year. I am sure he will be one of the best volleyball coaches as well.
