The Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki assured that the Polish government will financially support the organization of the two great volleyball tournaments – next year’s CEV Men’s European Championships and the FIVB Women’s World Championships, which is scheduled for 2022.
Although Poland is to co-host the 2021 EuroVolley with Finland, Estonia, and the Czech Republic, it will organize most of the matches. It’s already known that halls in Poland (Katowice, Kraków, and Gdańsk) will host 15 matches of the pool phase, four matches of the eighth-finals, two quarterfinals, as well as both semi-finals and matches for gold and bronze medal.
The 2022 World Championship will be held in Poland and the Netherlands, while 34 matches of the tournament are to take place on Polish soil.
