For the second round in a row, ZAKSA broke some team’s invincibility. A few days ago, they did it to Jastrzębski Węgiel. Now, they have done it to Trefl, on the road, in Round 5 of the 2020/21 PlusLiga regular season.
The players from the Gdańsk team, who had a 3-0 prior to the encounter today, didn’t manage to win even a set although they fought hard: 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-23). Thus, Nikola Grbić’s wards maintain the status of an undefeated team (5-0). Łukasz Kaczmarek scored 17 points for ZAKSA, while Jakub Kochanowski made 4 blocks. Bartłomiej Lipiński made 11 points for Trefl.
Due to the confirmation of the presence of the coronavirus among the MKS Będzin players, the Polish Volleyball League canceled their match against Indykpol AZS Olsztyn. A few more matches were canceled for the same reason earlier.
