POL M: Warszawa score first win after returning from quarantine

VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa scored their first victory in the 2020/21 Polish men’s volleyball Championship after returning from quarantine.

VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa defeated GKS Katowice by a 3-1 (21-25, 25-11, 25-22, 25-16) in the eighth round of the 2020/21 PlusLiga regular season. The team from the Polish capital recorded its third victory, the first after returning from quarantine. At the same time, this encounter was Katowice’s first after a break caused by quarantine in which they have been since October 3.

Bartosz Kwolek and Piotr Nowakowski top-scored Warszawa with 15 points apiece. The latter had as many as 8 blocks. Kwolek had 76 % reception (18 % perfect).

All the other matches of this round were postponed.
