The match that opened the 10th round of the 2020/21 TAURON Liga regular season was between the two title candidates for several years back.
As hosts, Grot Budowlani Łódź prevailed over the reigning champions Grupa Azoty Chemik Police by a 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-23) and climbed to second place in the charts. Thus, after three defeats at the beginning of the season, the home team recorded seven victories in a row. As for Chemik, they continued the shakey campaign as now they got to the negative record of just three wins and four losses, which put them in seventh place.
American Veronica Jones-Perry top-scored Budowlani with 20 points today, while Kornelia Moskwa made 5 blocks. Zuzanna Górecka had 71 % reception (43 % perfect). Serbian Jovana Brakočević-Canzian tallied 19 points for the losing side.
