Cuprum Lubin achieved a huge win at the beginning of the second part of the 2020/21 Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Prior to today’s encounter valid for the 14th round of the 2020/21 PlusLiga regular season, Cuprum Lubin had found a way to surpass PGE Skra Bełchatów only once in the history of league clashes. Today, on the road, they played perfectly and, led in scoring by Colombian Ronald Jiménez (21 points), managed to overcome the giants of the country’s volleyball in straight sets, partially 25-22, 25-18, and 25-21.

Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Bartłomiej Kluth and Kamil Semeniuk 15 points apiece, Adrian Staszewski 71 % reception; 29 % perfect) swept newcomers Stal Nysa and recorded the ninth successive victory (no defeat) in the competition and further isolated themselves at the top of the standings.
