POL M: Ślepsk scare ZAKSA but fail to break their invincibility, Jastrzębski sweep Skra

Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle are still undefeated in the 2020/21 Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle defeated Ślepsk Malow Suwałki after being forced to work hard in each of the four sets as underdogs forced each one of them into an exciting finish: 3-1 (26-24, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23).

The match valid for the 21st round of the 2020/21 Polish Men’s PlusLiga regular season lasted for more than two hours. ZAKSA kept their invincibility (18-0), while Ślepsk remained eighth-placed. Kamil Semeniuk stood out in ZAKSA with 23 points.

Jastrzębski Węgiel swept PGE Skra Bełchatów in a delayed match of the 6th round. Jakub Bucki top-scored the winners with 14 points. Ukrainian Jurij Gladyr served 5 aces, while Jakub Popiwczak made 79 % reception (14 digs, 43 % perfect). After this victory, the Jastrzębie-Zdrój side firmed its position as the vice-leaders, while Skra suffered a third successive defeat and remained sixth.
