Asseco Resovia for the second time in a row will play in the finals of the PlusLiga, which only can confirm the great form of the coach Andrzej Kowal‘s team.

“I would not call this regularity now, because it’s only the second year that we are in the final, but we are very pleased and it only confirms that Asseco Resovia plays volleyball at very high level. I believe that in the final we will play even better than before. We’ll be definitely very motivated both mentally and physically” says Aleh Akhrem, Asseco Resovia captain.

Aleh Akhrem admits that the finals, which already guaranteed participation in next year’s Champions League is great result. “We have already achieved one goal, and this little come down the pressure. But it does not mean that we will content ourselves with only silver. We will fight for every point and for every ball. We want to win” states Polish champions receiver.

Once in this season Asseco Resovia faced Zaksa in the final. Asseco Resovia and Zaksa were rivals in the Polish Cup finals. Could this mean that the psychological advantage is on the side of Zaksa KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE?

“The advantage for them is that they start matches at home” adds Achrem. Zaksa is a very strong team. They won the Polish Cup, played in the Champions League Final Four where he gathered a lot of experience for sure. For us the advantage is that we’re in the final. We need to play more calmly and show the best volleyball without additional pressure. We’re going to fight, emotions definitely not lack. I hope that in the most important games of the season we will be able to show a good volleyball” end Polish champion captain.
